dropdowns provide wrong choices

Should be like this:
if mapping is contained in a nested condition:
origin: node of the upper-level nested condition (or lhs, if there is no upper nested condition)
image: node of the containing nested condition

if mapping is contained in a rule:
origin: node of the lhs
image: node of the rhs

Nope, dropdown-boxes and complex edititing operations are not interrelated.
