Description Sam Davis CLA 2010-11-18 16:28:37 EST
Tasks opened from the search view are added to the navigation history in Eclipse, but as soon as they are closed they are removed from the history. This is quite annoying, and is not consistent with the behaviour of Java searches (where files added to the history remain in the history).
Comment 1 Steffen Pingel CLA 2011-04-05 15:52:32 EDT
Does that apply to tasks that are not in the task list only? TaskEditorInputFactory does not restore those tasks but I am not sure if that's related.
Comment 2 Sam Davis CLA 2011-04-05 16:01:10 EDT
Yes, it is only for tasks that are not in the task list.
Comment 3 Steffen Pingel CLA 2011-08-11 08:56:34 EDT
I believe this works as designed. We only persist tasks that are in the task list.

I agree though that this is a bit weird and it would make more sense to support persisting any task.

Mylyn has been restructured, and our issue tracking has moved to GitHub [1].

We are closing ~14K Bugzilla issues to give the new team a fresh start. If you feel that this issue is still relevant, please create a new one on GitHub.
