Description Stephan Herrmann CLA 2010-11-17 18:19:40 EST
I had a composite repository like
  http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/updates/3.7milestones/
in my list of available sites.

Then I needed to check which part of that repository is actually
  http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/updates/3.7milestones/S-3.7M3-201010281441
which is a child of the above.

The p2 UI refused to work with the child saying it is a duplicate location.
(even if it were I'd prefer to work with it anyway).

In that state various actions may have queer results. E.g., after
removing the parent repo I tried to add the child and still it was
reported as duplicate etc.

I couldn't recognize the pattern how after a handful of unsuccessful
attempts I could finally get the tool to work with the child.

Is the visible list of available sites only a filtered view of a
flattened invisible list? It seems some of these invisible entries
are difficult to manipulate :)
