Build Identifier: M20090917-0800 am trying to change foreground background color of all the OTHER (not the editor) view/window panes in Eclipse (Flash Builder). have searched for solutions and everything i've found (several answers) by googling gives various color schemes only for the editor view pane (either Java or Flex/AS). what i need is for all the other view panes such as the PackageExplorer view, Outline view, etc. IMHO, just changing the editor actually makes this worse. one post suggested this can be changed systemwide on the desktop (linux appearance) - but i am on a mac and system appearance only changes the text highlight color, but the window background remains white and fg is black and gray border. i've tried to edit the .epf file, but it is using an internal class name for these other views which is not published (e.g. below is the preference for the editor) /instance/org.eclipse.ui.editors/AbstractTextEditor.Color.Fo reground=220,220,204 again question is: how do i change the fg/bg color for the OTHER view panes? can someone from the eclipse development team plz give the name of the view that can be set in the preference (epf) file. thanks. Reproducible: Always

There is no such string defined that will allow you to retroactively change the colours of all the views.
The colors and fonts are taken by the OS and can be changed there for most OSs. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 48458 ***
