Sometimes DBStore annotations like DBAnnotation.COLUMN_TYPE are only needed for specific DB adapters. The new annotation (see bug bug 330072) on CDOResourceNode::name for example is only needed for DB2, but it requires all other backends to be regenerated, as well. This unnecessary impact could be reduced by adding some sort of constraints or filters to the annotations.
