I don't think this bug is a duplicate. This is not only for new bugs, it's for any bug. The issue is that a date TYPED into the field is ignored when submitting. The date picker works fine.

Thanks for clarifying. That's definitely a separate bug. I don't understand why the text field is even writeable and not read-only like the one of the schedule date picker.

Please always provide a meaningful description when filing bugs as the summary may change in the lifetime of a bug.

Sorry, I guess it wasn't as clear as I thought. But I don't like your proposed solution of making the field read-only - I would like to be able to type the date.
