Description Claas Wilke CLA 2010-10-29 08:14:04 EDT
Build Identifier: 20100617-1415

Using the assiciateSitesURL attribute of a site.xml did work well until Eclipse 3.6.0 (build-id 20100617-1415). However, using Eclipse 3.6.1 the update manager always results in a "cannot complete request message" although the site.xml and associateSites.xml remained unchanged.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Use Eclipse Modeling Tools Distribution.
2. Try to install Dresden OCL from http://dresden-ocl.sourceforge.net/downloads/updatesite/
3. Select all features to be installed.

I don't know if this is related, but OCL had a problem with its version numbers in 3.6.1 -- See bug 327823.

No, since MDT/OCL and Dresden OCL are different products I think there is no connection. But thanks for the comment anyway.(In reply to comment #1)

I figured out, that the problem only occurs, when adding the site's URL without the 'site.xml' at the end of the URL. Anyway, this should work without the site.xml.

AssociateSites.xml

Despite the complexity of setting this up, the ability to associate site seems to work properly. Here is attached an associateSites.xml file that is used as part of the SiteXMLActionTest.
