Description Andrew Gvozdev CLA 2010-10-28 10:08:44 EDT
All too often I am too quick to type a response in a bug. While typing I come to my senses and wish to discard all changes. It would be nice if "Clear" button would be available at that point.
What I have to do now is:
1. Using Ctrl-Z to get rid of all typed text does not help. The editor is still marked as "dirty".
2. So I have to save even with no changes (but not submit) to get rid of editor's "dirty" star.
3. That provokes "Clear Outgoing" button to appear. Now I click on it and the bug returns to the original state.

Note that if after step 2 I do some more editing "Clear Outgoing" is still available and does desired combined action of clearing the editor and clearing outgoing changes. Is it possible to make this button available while editing from the beginning?

It would be great if you could add your requirements to bug 205469.
