Description Aurelien Pupier CLA 2010-10-27 03:02:25 EDT
Build Identifier:

In settings of the user,
if you put for instance:
"R&D Engineer" in the field occupation, the '&' is encodded as "&" and each time you login I think that the the & is reencoded so you will have "R&D Engineer"

Reproducible: Always

This is fixed in the latest version of the forum, which I am preparing for deployment.

ouch in fact not.
I didn't read my big report carefully.
There is still the same issue when login/logout/login.
If I just navigate between page of the forum and come back to Control panel without logout/login it works.

So this happens only on logout/login.

Indeed -- I've located the problem in our custom login plugin. We attempt to refresh the local Forum account with the latest name and email address from Bugzilla. I just need to find the best way to decode those encoded characters.

Ok, this is fixed for real now. Since the browser was decoding the HTML entities naturally, there was no API for doing it in the forum code. I added my own.

Ok, it seems really fixed now ^^

thank you
