Build Identifier: M20100211-1343 I have upgraded to 10.10 and everything disappeared. I only can see <C/C++> in the title, I actually cant compile nor edit, I can't do anything relative to C. It doesnt appear neither in the preferences menu. I have Uninstalled C/C++ plugin (it appeared as installed), I uninstalled eclipse, and I installed everything. Nothing worked, any solution? because this is a bug. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. From ubuntu 10.04 installed, and eclipse fully working (C/C++ included) $ sudo apt-get dist-upgrade 2. Start eclipse. And thats it, doesnt work 3. Optional: Uninstall CDT from eclipse then in a terminal: $sudo apt-get purge eclipse* $sudo apt-get install eclipse*
Has anyone done something? I have been trying, but it seems that to completely remove eclipse I have to do something more than sudo apt-get purge eclipse* I there any guide for a COMPLETE uninstall¿?
We do not do user support here. Your best bet is to ask ubuntu forum about ubuntu upgrades or problems with apt-get. Eclipse itself is not involved in linux packaging, much less CDT. You can alternatively ask CDT forum http://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php?t=thread&frm_id=80 but your issue really sounds like Ubuntu problem.
No, it is not a Ubuntu package problem. Eclipse doesn't uninstall at all the cdt feature. I click in uninstall, but there still appears as installed. It is imposible to uninstall eclipse's C/C++ Development Tool. I don't know if you understand me. The bug is that the Eclipse platform, doesn't uninstall CDT feature. NEVER.

If apt-get won't remove everything then you should take this up with the package maintainers.
