Description Julien HENRY CLA 2010-10-25 03:27:12 EDT
See the forum thread: http://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php?t=msg&goto=633979&S=89fc9db724edf4c5b469758e4dffa633#msg_633979

We have an aspect packaged in a JAR. The pointcut expresses that the aspect should be active when a method is annotated with a custom annotation. In the project we are developing, simply adding the annotation do not produce weaving. We have to force a clean of the project to make it works.

I'll try to produce a test case.

After more testing on a simple project we discovered we had lot of issues with version of ajdt and aspectj. After upgrading to ajdt 2.1.1 and aspectj 1.6.9 for both the aspect jar and the using project, everything works "fine". There are still cases where we have to manually remove the builddef.lst file in order to force ajdt to weave the project.

Thanks for your support and sorry for the noise.

Thanks for letting us know that this situation is now working for you. We will be eager to fix any problems that you can isolate where incremental compilation fails for you.
