In trying to install CDT on my Galileo Eclipse, then installation halts with the following error:

An error occurred while collecting items to be installed
  session context was:(profile=SDKProfile, phase=org.eclipse.equinox.internal.provisional.p2.engine.phases.Collect, operand=, action=).
  Problems downloading artifact: osgi.bundle,org.eclipse.cdt.core.linux,5.1.0.201002161416.
    File has invalid content:/tmp/signatureFile2936588245955107562.jar
      Invalid content:cdt_linux.jar
      The file "cdt_linux.jar" in the jar "/tmp/signatureFile2936588245955107562.jar" has been tampered!
