Found these while working with the M06 version, don't expect them to be fixed already in RC1 but didn't check. Prog guide: ----------- "Future releases will include support for more personalities such as batch, web services, etc." -> probably best removed, we've been saying that for three years now ;) It's also too SpringSource specific for an Eclipse project to add these personalities now, I'd think "Making a dependency available for provisioning is simply a matter of copying it to the appropriate location in the VWS’s local provisioning repository. By default this is SERVER_HOME/repository/bundles/usr for bundles, and SERVER_HOME/repository/libraries/usr for libraries." -> not true (outdated), both use repository/usr org.eclipse.virgo.server.web.dm.ServerOsgiBundleXmlWebApplicationContext -> should be org.eclipse.virgo.web.dm.ServerOsgiBundleXmlWebApplicationContext! User guide: ----------- "When you first install Virgo Web Server, the local provisioning repository is located at $SERVER_HOME/repository by default and consists of two main directories: ext and user." -> user should be usr "By default, the VWS trace file is called $SERVER_HOME/serviceability/logs/dm-server/log_i.log" -> dm-server shouldn't be in there. Also, default is log.log, not log_1.log as docs suggest
Thanks for pointing these out. I'll fix them for the release.
Fixed these except for the user->usr typo which was already fixed in RC1 under bug 327243 . Also removed the following from the Programmer Guide: "Furthermore, the deployment pipeline can be extended with additional personality deployers, and future releases of the VWS will provide support for personalities such as Batch, Web Services, etc.". Also changed other references to the package org.eclipse.virgo.server.web.dm to refer to org.eclipse.virgo.web.dm. Also fixed numerous old references to ...virgo.server.web.... which should be ...virgo.web...
