Description Joost Kraaijeveld CLA 2010-10-20 02:36:06 EDT
When using two monitors with an Eclipse window (menu: Window -> new Window) the saving of a source file with ctrl+s in one window leads to a modification of the source file that is in view in the other window. This only happens the file in the other window (the one that should NOT be saved) is a C++ file. Other files do not change. Using the button bar to save the file does not change the other file. What exactly is the change in the other is not observable: I have not actually seen a visible change. I suspect that the file is just flagged changed.
Comment 1 Joost Kraaijeveld CLA 2010-10-20 04:04:29 EDT
When the file in the not-edited window has some text selected, the ctr+s of an edited does not change the not-edited file as edited
Comment 2 Anton Leherbauer CLA 2010-10-20 04:45:36 EDT
Does this only happen with a two monitor setup?
At least I cannot reproduce it with two windows on the same monitor.
Comment 3 Joost Kraaijeveld CLA 2010-10-20 04:59:39 EDT
I cannot reproduce it on a pc with just 1 monitor. All other thing (OS/Java/Eclipse etc) are equal in this test. And to make it more problematic: after testing it on the dual monitor machine on 1 monitor it does not happen there anymore. This however is resolved by booting ;-)

Do you still experience this issue?
