To respond to a message in the mailman archive one would need the Message-ID field to correctly reply to the thread via In-Reply-To header [0]. Unfortunately the In-Reply-To header is not part of the message in the archive.

Use case is, that I follow a couple of lists via RSS only which I usually do not actively post to. But now I want to post to an existing email thread and I have no way to reference the existing thread.
