While running JSF Tools JUnit tests (many of the suites), org.eclipse.wst.server.core.internal.ServerPreferenceModifyListener.removeLockedServerRuntimePreference(Preferences) is writing "[Fatal Error] :1:1: Premature end of file." to syserr. However, there are no perceived failures or errors. It's possibly due to an attempted parse of a non-existent file (I debugged only so far). It may be harmless noise, I am not certain.
This should be a harmless failure.. but I can see how a annoying it could be. This was introduced by bug# 267188
It does seem to be harmless - but repeatedly spitting "Fatal Error" to stderr doesn't give anyone a warm, fuzzy feeling.
Created attachment 186305 [details] v1.0 The following patch will resolve the problem. I can simplify the code a little more and avoid creating the InputSource and StringReader, but to avoid regression testing for now (as I there no JUnit that cover this area) I will leave it as is and come back to it later.
