Description Dani Megert CLA 2010-09-30 11:01:44 EDT
I20100928-1200.

1. disable to use the capping algo
2. compare two very large files with each other
==> I first get a dialog where I can move the operation to the background or cancel the operation.
==> after a few seconds I get another dialog which allows to cancel.

Expected: I only see one dialog and not two on top of each other.

Yep. I think the problem might already be in 3.6 but there you don't notice because the algorithm is fast/capped.

As in bug 326683, I think the best way to address it is to fix bug 324993.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
