Description David M. Karr CLA 2010-09-28 19:41:58 EDT
Build Identifier: 20100917-0705

I compared two versions of a file from different SVN branches. I have both versions of the project checked out in my workspace, so I'm just doing file comparisons.

I was stepping through copying changes from the left to the right when I discovered one that corrupted the file. When I looked closer, I realized that the curvy line from the left side to the right side is pointing to the wrong line. The line is off by one line.

Even stranger, when I try to do the "Copy from left to right", it inserts the code from the left side into the MIDDLE of the line, so not only does it insert at the wrong line, the block is completely scrozzled.

I had several other changes in the file that didn't display this symptom.

I can't really attach the two files in question, but I'll see if I can take screen shots of the before & after and attach those.

Reproducible: Always

David, I'm waiting for the screen shots.

Sorry about that. I no longer have the data for that test case.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
