1) For report designer it would be helpful if Cross Tab contains similar row numbering system as in Table. I mean the column binding row.__rownum. This would be useful in scripting and it would remove the necessity to create own row numbers per Cross Tab.

2) Relating to first enhancement row based highlight rules in Cross Tab would also help in report design and creation. Cell based rules work but they are a bit annoying to use and especially to keep updated.


Both of these enhancements make Cross Tab a bit more like Table and that helps report designer as same design methods can be applied in both items. Now items look a like but must be designed differently to get same results.
