Build Identifier: 20100917-0705 the -eclipse.password <file> option not works when I try to browse the CVS tree, the ui dialog asking master password is still shown Reproducible: Always
Does the file contain a valid password?
If you delete the secure storage file (location can be found under Preferences -> General -> Security -> Secure Storage | Contents | Storage location) and re-enter the CVS password, does it happen again? The reason you might see this is if you run Eclipse without "-eclipse.password" option and entered CVS password there. Then an entry is created in the secure storage file specific to the method the password was encrypted (in this case, usging the "master" password entered in the UI dialog). Next time even if you run with "-eclipse.password" option, it will see that there is already an entry in the secure storage, and it needs the UI dialog master password to decrypt that entry.
@Tomasz yes the password is valid and correct. @Oleg ok now the reason is clear, that means that this feature must be choose at first install of eclipse. Clearing all passwords I think is not an option in most cases. Anyway thanks, the issue can be considered closed
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant. -- The automated Eclipse Genie.
