Description son9ne.junk CLA 2010-09-22 11:27:17 EDT
I have had many issues but today this is the onlyh one I feel worth mentioning.

I have been working on setting up a remote FTP project. I have spent over an hour for a process that should only take a minute.

Once I have created the remote server, I have to create a project to use the remote server. The project will then proceed to index the remote files, this should be optional since I had to wait over an hour just to index the files then the system crashes...
I have tried this a few times and have gotten frustrated and refused to use this IDE. I am forced to find a decent IDE and figured this would be resolved by now but this issue still persist.

I tried to cancel the indexing and the validating for the project with no luck... The system is still unusable until it finishes crawling the server. Now I have lost more time using an IDE which is suppose to make me more productive....
Also, while indexing, I tried to view a file on the remote server but it was just thrown in the cue for later... I would think this is a higher priority than indexing... the same goes for saving files. I tried to save a change during a large system indexing but obviously this failed.

For larger projects this IDE is garbage. It takes too long to index the files and the only real concern there is that all other functions are halted until the indexing is performed. Not efficient in my opinion, it makes no sense.

I don't understand why simple project setup is over complicated. Congrats for making something simple much more complex than it needs to be.

Also, when reporting bugs I have to register... wtf! Anonymous does not work! Imagine that!

If anonymous reporting was allowed then how can other people communicate with the reporter about the problem? How can the developers ask the reporter questions? How will the reporter know if their bug has been fixed?

You appear to be using Zend Studio. I suggest you take up your problems with Zend's customer support. It is at the moment unclear whether you are having problems with software from Eclipse.org or software from Zend.

Closing not_eclipse. Son9ne please open your issue against Zend Studio.
