Build Identifier: M20090917-0800 I have a question regarding the Build-to-Manage (BtM) toolkit for .NET, which is an As-Is Component of Test and Performance Tools Platform (TPTP) project. I tried to install this toolkit on Windows 7. The installation requires the availability of a third-party software - PostSharp version 1.0. The latest version of PostSharp is version 2.0, as version 1.0 is no longer supported. But it seems that the current version of BtM toolkit could not be installed with PostSharp 2.0 as it failed to recognize the PostSharp 2.0 in the system. So my question is, is this BtM toolkit still well maintained and supported to work with newer versions of third-party software, i.e. PostSharp 2.0, so that it could still be installed and used on latest systems, i.e. Windows 7 and Visual Studio 2008? This is very important to me because I am considering using the BtM toolkit for a long-term development project of .NET. So if this toolkit is no longer developed and supported for new systems and software, then it may not be good for my purpose. I am looking forward to any helpful reply on this issue. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Download PostSharp 2.0 ( v1.0 is no longer available). Install it on Windows 7 system. 2. Download zip file of BtM Toolkit for .NET. Unzip the installation package. 3. Follow installation guide to manually install the toolkit. 4. With Visual Studio 2008 installed in the system, run ManualInstall4vs2008.bat in Command Prompt (Terminal). 5. Error message would occur saying PostSharp is not found in the system.
Unfortunately, the Build To Manage Toolkit had been moved to As-Is. So no further enhancement will be addressed to have it work with newer version of third party software.
