typical black screen after code assist

As mentioned in bug 325434 comment 3, there seems to be known issue with newer Linux versions and text editors, causing parts of the editor be shown in the black color after (or because) of opened content assist shells.

This happens not on every content assist invocation, but it happens a lot...
There are no related errors in the log.

I'm using Ubuntu 10.04 and see this issue daily (see screenshot).

Felipe, you mentioned that. This looks like an SWT issue to me.

Bog/SSQ, isn't there a bug report for this already ?
Comment 3 Bogdan Gheorghe CLA 2010-10-12 11:12:18 EDT
I didn't find one directly but it could be rolled up into one of the GTK 2.18 bug reports.

Really old report which hasn't happened in years. Closing. Please reopen if happens on supported versions.
