Description Borislav Kapukaranov CLA 2010-09-10 12:38:22 EDT
Build Identifier: 2.1.0.M04-incubation

The Inner Frameworks Commands need the javassist library in order to be able to operate correctly.
I've already configured the implementation to download it from maven central.
But that won't work for the integration tests for the commands - there i'll need to reference it via IVY.

I'm raising this bug so that javassist could be put in the queue for approval so that i can reference and use it successfully through ivy in the meantime. Then i'll be able to provide a meaningful patch for review of the inner framework commands functionality and its integration with Virgo.

Best Regards
Borislav

Reproducible: Always

What version of javassist do you need? We already have a CQ for 3.9.0.GA which was withdrawn but which we could resuscitate if that is suitable.
Comment 2 Borislav Kapukaranov CLA 2010-09-13 08:56:37 EDT
3.13.0.GA would be nice, but 3.9.0.GA should work fine too.
Comment 3 Glyn Normington CLA 2010-09-13 09:10:06 EDT
I''ll raise a new CQ for 3.13.0.GA as that will have a longer shelf life and it's not much more work. Currently www.javassist.org is down, so this will have to wait.

Strange, i can access it without any problems.. It redirects me to http://www.csg.is.titech.ac.jp/~chiba/javassist/
Maybe this link will work for you.

Yes, that link worked. Thanks.

I have raised https://dev.eclipse.org/ipzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=4462.

The CQ 4462 is now under preliminary review. The following comment has been made which you should bear in mind if you contribute code which causes javassist to be bundled into the kernel and/or web server zip files:

"Dually licensed: MPL 1.1 or LGPL 2.1.

If approved for use within Eclipse, we would elect to distribute this package
under the MPL 1.1. Please ensure your about files reflect this choice."

(We simply need to put the appropriate wording in the about files.)
