Was trying to shutdown the 4.x I20100830-1111 when the VM crashed. I had some Java editors open at the time though I'm not sure if that was the cause.

I'm on Gentoo Linux with gtk+-2.20.1-r1 installed and Eclipse was ran with HotSpot 1.6.0.14.

Not at the moment. I tried starting and shutting it down a couple of times but nothing is happening.

Similar stack trace as reported in bug 195337. However, neither this nor the original bug has a reproducible scenario. So, may be we can close 195337 too.
