Description Remy Suen CLA 2010-09-01 11:56:55 EDT
1. Minimize the stack of the 'Package Explorer'.
2. Restore it.
3. Close it with the 'X' button.
4. An NPE will be logged.

This is not 100% reproducible but your chances of reproducing it should go up the faster you do the steps.

Comment 2 Remy Suen CLA 2010-09-23 08:07:24 EDT
These steps should reproduce the problem consistently.

1. Minimize the 'Package Explorer'.
2. Click on its icon in the trim so that it pops up.
3. Now drag it outside the workbench window to get a detached window.
4. You should hit the NPE.
Comment 3 Eclipse Genie CLA 2019-03-13 12:33:28 EDT
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
