When a validation error is flagged, say "function name must be non-empty", when the user fixes the problem in the GUI, the error is not removed until a re-validation.

The error marker should be removed immediately for the field that has been modified; if it's still wrong than it will be re-flagged.  In other words, the UI should assume the user has fixed the problme until proven otherwise (by re-running validation).
