Description Brett Bode CLA 2010-08-31 17:52:39 EDT
It appears that the default remote path brought up by the Browse buttons throughout the tabs in the PE proxy's resource pane in the Run configuration is /. Almost without exception a batter default would be either the user's home directory or the selected project directory.

If I edit my resource manager configuration and set it to use a Remote Tools connection instead of a RSE connection, then I think the file selector dialogs are almost working now. If a pathname field is blank, then when I click the browse button, the file selector opens at my home directory. If I select a file, then the pathname is saved in the run configuration and the next time I click the browse button for that field, the file selector dialog opens positioned to the directory containing the file previously selected. This isn't quite right, since I'm setting the pathname to the full file pathname rather than the pathname of the directory containing the file, so that needs to be fixed.

It looks like the file selector dialog for the RSE connection model doesn't have any way to specify a directory to navigate to so I can't make the RSE connection model work.

The choices for directory are either home directory or the directory where the last selected file is located. I can't use project directory since the PE and LoadLeveler resource managers don't know anything about projects.

Getting it fixed for remote tools is great, that is what I plan to be using going forward (and am currently using). Starting at the users home directory is much better than /! I will look forward to the new version.
