I wonder if this is a bug in Hudson. The weird characters are part of the "raw" console output: https://build.eclipse.org/hudson/job/emf-cdo-maintenance/80/consoleText

This is an upstream bug that has been fixed in recent Hudson releases: http://issues.hudson-ci.org/browse/HUDSON-6034 .

Version 1.370 does not have this bug, e.g. https://hudson.eclipse.org/hudson/job/emf-cdo-integration/728/consoleText .
