There seems to be a common sentiment that people don't like drilling down through the module list in ROV. Here are some possible approaches for improving this: - Preserve the expanded state of the module list across loads of the same program (compare the file paths). - Leverage the gconf product view for displaying an intelligent organization of modules - Open tabs to new windows, to view things simultaneously (this would mean multiple simultaneous server requests and require synchronization) - Similar to CDOC, have a flat 'all modules' list in addition to package heirarchy - Set the entire heirarchy to be completely expanded by default? (Or at least 2 deep?)
Chris to call a meeting with Branavan and TISB members to discuss solution.
this is being addressed by saving state between runs.
This has been fixed within the rov-h00 stream. The favorites feature allows users to save a list of selected modules for quick access. It also saves the selection states and tab selection within the workspace so it is preserved upon ccs restart.
verify pass. The favorites and the state save are great new features that work well in my testing. verify pass.
