There are several visual glitches on the ipad that should be fixed. (Screenshots follow).

The same lines exist in windows-Safari when zoomed in.
They are also gone on ipad when zoom is 1:1 (which is the default after fixing bug 323125 and bug 323129).

The lines seem to be a webkit-bug and there is nothing we can do about it: https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=19665#c3

Since 
a) this bug can not be fixed by us,
and 
b) its much less obvious now that the page is not zoomed by default,
i will close this bug. 

A seperate bug will be opend for the overflow-issue seend in screenshot 1.
