I've created a new bugzilla account and a colleague wanted to add me as co-author for a talk proposal (#1842 ESE2010) but he does not find me in the search system. Even the invitation via email which I received does not work. If I open the link and log in, I receive the message: "We can't find any submissions with a pending invitation for you"
I am also seeing this problem with this submission: https://www.eclipsecon.org/submissions/ese2010/edit_talk.php?id=1887 Thomas.Benedek@bmw-carit.de says he created a bugzilla account, and I can't find it. Raising the priority on this bug.
More about talk 1887: https://www.eclipsecon.org/submissions/ese2010/edit_talk.php?id=1887 The submission was showing that Thomas Benedek, an assistant on the talk, had been invited to be on the talk, and that this invitation was pending. Thomas told me that he had created a bugzilla account, but the submission system was not finding it. Thomas told me that he created the bugzilla account using the "invitation email" that was sent to him by the submission system. He used the link in the email to create it, and the account has the same email address. About a day after Thomas created his account, he was still being listed as "pending." But at that point I was able to edit the submission manually to add him as an assistant -- I searched for his name, the system found it, and I added him. Then I deleted him as a "pending" assistant. It seems weird that this sort of manual editing is necessary. Shouldn't the system have automatically changed Thomas from a pending assistant to an "actual" assistant as soon as he created the bugzilla account using the link he got in the email? Is this done via a cron job or something, and I just didn't wait long enough for it to happen? (Is "cron job" actually spelled "chron job"?)
> I've created a new bugzilla account and a colleague wanted to add me as Stefan, I've fixed your account, and I've added your account as a co-author of talk #1842. The problem behind this was fixed in bug 323293. > Thomas(snip)@bmw-carit.de says he created a bugzilla account, and I can't > find it. In the meanwhile, I think Thomas' account was also fixed. I think submission 1887 looks OK.
