Description Holger Hoch CLA 2010-08-13 05:57:47 EDT
Build Identifier: Build id: 20100617-1415

I'm using Eclipse 3.6 with XWT from E4 R-0.10-201007271415.
When trying to open the XWT Designer with an XWT file that contains an element the designer does not know the 'loading...' box never disappears. The XWT Editor shows 'No window found or an error occurs' without any further information. No errors in error log. There should be an information which element could not be loaded. Maybe even the view could be displayed ignoring the unknown element (or using Composite as a replacement in the desingner presentation). The offending coponent is easy to identy in a small file, but can get really hard when searching a typo in dozens of ui compoents.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Try to open an XWT file with the following content:
---- snip here ----
<Composite xmlns="http://www.eclipse.org/xwt/presentation"
	xmlns:x="http://www.eclipse.org/xwt">
	<SomeCompositeNotOnDesignerClasspath/>
</Composite>
---- snip here ----

In light of WB, VDE is not supported anymore.
