Description Neil Hauge CLA 2010-08-12 18:14:24 EDT
When starting from a clean workspace, or a workspace with no faceted projects, the New JPA Project wizard fails to launch with the following error:

The selected wizard could not be started.
Plug-in "org.eclipse.jpt.ui" was unable to instantiate class "org.eclipse.jpt.ui.internal.wizards.JpaSEProjectWizard".
java.lang.NullPointerException

The workaround is the start the any other faceted project wizard, cancel, and return to the New JPA Project wizard. The wizard will start correctly after invoking a faceted project wizard.

This should be fixed in the next 3.3 I-Build as a result of the underlying bug being fixed.
Comment 2 Jolene Moffitt CLA 2010-10-05 16:44:33 EDT
Verified in Build I-3.3.0-20100923155521

Verified no errors appear when you select a new JPA Project when starting from a clean workspace or a workspace with no faceted projects.
