Description Michael Scharf CLA 2010-08-11 20:23:51 EDT
it is extremely painful to figure out how to check out a project found in cvsview

E.g.:

http://dev.eclipse.org/viewcvs/index.cgi/org.eclipse.equinox/p2/examples/org.eclipse.equinox.p2.examples.rcp.sdkui/?root=RT_Project

it would be nice if a link to
   :pserver:anonymous@dev.eclipse.org:/cvsroot/rt
would be somewhere

At least a link to
  http://wiki.eclipse.org/CVS_Howto
would somewhat help

This is a great idea. Since ViewVC needs to know all this info anyway, I wonder if there is an easy way to display it.

I've added a 'Where can I get this?' tag to the pages just under the page title that provides the anonymous access 'path'.

It's not perfect as we'll have to keep the header file up to date when repos change, but I was unable to find a way to computationally determine the correct values.

That is great!

Thanks!
