The datapool variable contained 4 values in form of a combobox. But when edited the variable name to something else, found out that all the values except the first one is lost. And it doesnt remain a combobox

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Edit the datapool variable name
2.Save the datapool

Hi Jerome,
I am taking a datapool of the following combobox control:
<html>
<body>

<form action="">
<select name="cars">
<option value="volvo">Volvo</option>
<option value="saab">Saab</option>
<option value="fiat">Fiat</option>
<option value="audi">Audi</option>
</select>
</form>

</body>
</html>

And it comes good. Having the datapool variable name as cars and 4 values for the combobox, viz: volvo,saab,fiat,Audi.
Attaching a scrrenshot "before rename.jpg" of the same.
Now i rename the variable name from 'cars' to say 'old'.On changing the name i just find the first option value i.e 'volvo' and the drop down is lost.

ah, ok, i understand more now, it was just a vocabulary problem
what we (tptp) call "variable" is the head of the column
what you call "variable" is what we call "value"

looking into it, thanks for clarification

Jerome

defering to future, there are many things to examine :
. use of both enum syntax (java up to 1.4 / java 1.5 and later)
. extension point to examine closely (see 95389 )
. combo box that disappear....
