Description Vladimir Knajtner CLA 2010-08-04 16:12:48 EDT
Build Identifier: M20100211-1343

Builder class loader apparently ignores directories where custom ant tasks (java classes and/or resources) are located. The only way is to package such classes/resources into jars.

This works fine from external tools.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.create a custom java ant task
2.reference it from a project builder
3.run build, will get class not found exception for custom ant task class

Moving to Platform/Ant
Comment 2 Darin Wright CLA 2010-08-04 16:51:34 EDT
Are you using the "org.eclipse.ant.core.antTasks" extension point to contribute the the custom task? Could you attach an example?

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
