This is probably related to
  http://www.eclipse.org/forums/
which says:
  "As a result of a recent server upgrade, we are experiencing difficulties 
  with the NNTP news server, which serves as the data store for the Forums. 
  We are working on resolving this issue as quickly as possible. We 
  apologize for the inconvenience."

I opened the bug hoping to get notified once it is solved...
