Since the SLES 11 upgrade, inn on build is no longer working.

can't seteuid to %d: %s

    (Fatal) Unable to change the effective UID. If inndstart has the correct permissions (setuid root) and seteuid to root (UID 0) is failing, this may mean that your system has seteuid(2) but doesn't have support for POSIX saved UIDs. If this is the case, please report this to the INN maintainers. 


I'll try downgrading inn to the SLES 10 SP2 version, and if that fails, I'll have to try moving it to another server.  This is currently preventing the forums from coming back online.

The version of inn is 2.4.2 all the way through SLES 10 SP1.

Since it's related to setuid files, I get the feeling it's something related to a new kernel/config or something similar.  I'll focus on moving inn instead.

I'm currently moving inn to a SLES 10 box.  In parallel I'm trying a Fedora server too.  If none of those work, I'll re-enable the web forums, disconnected from NNTP, so that at least that portion will be usable.
