When I try to ssh to this machine, my login hangs. This means that signing doesn't work in our builds. Could you please fix build2 so we can sign, we are trying to build toward 3.7M1 today :-)
hudson is impacted, too. signed build using hudson seems impossible : https://build.eclipse.org/hudson/view/Modeling/job/emf-eef-integration/66/console
Build2 is now accessible ... can you confirm that it is signing correctly?
I'm getting a signing failure this evening (8/3, 2:30 am) ... It says "file is not found or is invalid" ... but, it does exist, and I can't imagine what's invalid about it (I can unzip it, and at least one jar inside it (the one I tried to spot check) ... so, not sure what else to check). $ sign /opt/public/download-staging.priv/webtools/temp-P-3.2.1-20100803033803-wtp-patches32x.zip mail ERROR: File /opt/public/download-staging.priv/webtools/temp-P-3.2.1-20100803033803-wtp-patches32x.zip not found, or not a valid file. Signing aborted. [02:31:35] david_williams@build:~/signingDir $ ll /opt/public/download-staging.priv/webtools/temp-P-3.2.1-20100803033803-wtp-patches32x.zip total 1141 -rw-rw-rw-+ 1 david_williams webtoolsadmin 1164495 2010-08-02 23:41 temp-P-3.2.1-20100803033803-wtp-patches32x.zip
I'm also trying to sign a file this morning and it didn't work. I received a mail that the signing completed but the file doesn't exist in the directory I specified. Also, it looks like the signing log isn't being updated. kmoir@build:/home/data/httpd/download-staging.priv/eclipse> ls -la /tmp/signing/signer.log -rw-r--r-- 1 genie signers 0 2010-08-01 00:02 /tmp/signing/signer.log
The sign log has moved to: /home/data/httpd/download-staging.priv/arch/signer.log, but the main issue here was 'Unable to access jarfile /home/admin/jarprocessor.jar' which has been resolved(failed nfs mount) -M.
I'm still getting "not found" message this morning ... $ sign /opt/public/download-staging.priv/webtools/temp-P-3.2.1-20100803135342-wtp-patches32x.zip mail ERROR: File /opt/public/download-staging.priv/webtools/temp-P-3.2.1-20100803135342-wtp-patches32x.zip not found, or not a valid file. Signing aborted. Just me?
I'm getting permission denied trying to execute the sign binary kmoir@build:/home/data/httpd/download-staging.priv/eclipse> /usr/bin/sign /home/data/httpd/download-staging.priv/eclipse/eclipse-master-I20100801-2100.zip mail /home/data/httpd/download-staging.priv/eclipse/I20100801-2100-out -committer_shell: /usr/bin/sign: Permission denied
Hmmm, it seems the upgrade has had an unexpected impact on group authentication, which seems to be the cause of Kims signing errors. I presume that the same thing is impacting Davids sign process as well. At this time I think I've got the issue resolved. -M.
I'm still getting same error ... think I need to log out? recreate my file now that permission fixed? (seems unlikely, but I'll give both a try).
funny, I logoff all shells, and back in ... and _now_ I get permission denied! $ sign /opt/public/download-staging.priv/webtools/temp-P-3.2.1-20100803135342-wtp-patches32x.zip mail committer_shell: /usr/bin/sign: Permission denied
wait, I'm ok now, after all. While my automatic scripts were failing, my "manual" check from command line was incorrect. I have a directory named the same as the file so from command line I was only giving directory name so it indeed was an "invalid file", I should have been using $ sign /opt/public/download-staging.priv/webtools/temp-P-3.2.1-20100803135342-wtp-patches32x.zip/temp-P-3.2.1-20100803135342-wtp- patches32x.zip mail which does now work File /opt/public/download-staging.priv/webtools/temp-P-3.2.1-20100803135342-wtp-patches32x.zip/temp-P-3.2.1-20100803135342-wtp-patches32x.zip added to queue. I'm confident the automatic build/sign script will work now. Sorry for the noise, thanks for the help.
Thanks, it works for me too. Kim
