Description leonie.wagner CLA 2010-07-30 09:50:49 EDT
Build Identifier: 200902181337

The CVS decorator tag names (under Einstellungen->Team->CVS->Dekorationen für Bezeichnungen) have been translated to German.
Since these are variable names needed by the CVS plugin, it cannot find
it's settings, and some label decorators are not shown any more
(this affects views like Navigator, but not the \"Projektbaum\" view of
the \"Geschäftsmodellierung\" perspective, hence the low priority).

For example, for file decorators the entry shows \"{flag_für_ausgehende_änderung}{name} {überarbeitung} {tag}\" instead of
\"{outgoing_change_flag}{name} {revision} {tag}\".

In the Navigator view, the decorators for outgoing changes and revisions are not shown.

Reproducible: Always

The problem has been detected by a customer that usesWebSphere Business Modeler 7, but as this is an Eclipse component, I opened the bug.

IMO, these variables should not get translated in the first place... or the default text decoration formats should not be placed in the properties file. Given the fact it has already happened I can see two options here:
1) externalize the required string in CVSDecoratorConfiguration
2) remove the default formats from the prop file, but this would leave the variable names in English which I guess is a no-go in your case

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
