The post below is only visible via the web interface. It does not show up via nntp 
(at least with Thunderbird on win32 - I've tried removing the newsgroup and re-subscribing to get all entries but it didn't help).

The forum maintains its own MySQL database of NNTP posts, which were imported from NNTP when the forums were brought online.  Throughout the day the forum checks NNTP for new NNTP posts and imports them.

When a post is made in the forum, it is written to the MySQL database.  The forum then 'posts' the message on the associated NNTP newsgroup.  In the case of this post, it appears it failed.

From here, I've simply replied to the thread, quoting the original and explaining what happened, and I've confirmed that it has propagated to NNTP.

I doubt that this is a regular occurrence, but rather one of those glitches of having 2 systems talk to each other.
