Description Darin Wright CLA 2010-07-26 12:18:42 EDT
In my workspace I have many PDE problems reported in plugin.xml for extensions with enablement expressions that reference the expression language.

For example, in jdt.debug.ui, for the following extension:

<objectContribution
      objectClass="org.eclipse.debug.core.model.IStackFrame"
      id="org.eclipse.jdt.debug.ui.ShowStratumActions">
  <action
         label="%showStratumAction.label"
         style="pulldown"
         class="org.eclipse.jdt.internal.debug.ui.actions.ShowStratumAction"
         menubarPath="emptyThreadGroup"
         enablesFor="1"
         id="org.eclipse.jdt.debug.ui.actions.ShowStratum">
  </action>
  <enablement>
   	<test property="org.eclipse.jdt.debug.isMultiStrata" value="true"/>
  </enablement>
</objectContribution>

I have the following errors reported for the "enablement" line:

A minimum of 1 'pluginState' elements must be specified.
A minimum of 1 'or' elements must be specified.
A minimum of 1 'and' elements must be specified.
A minimum of 1 'objectClass' elements must be specified.
A minimum of 1 'objectState' elements must be specified.
A minimum of 1 'systemProperty' elements must be specified.
A minimum of 1 'not' elements must be specified.

And the following error reported for the "test property" line:

Element 'test' is not legal as a child of element 'enablement'.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
