If I use Copy Build ID I get I20100725-1756 (good). but on the about page I get Build id: I20100722-2038 (bad) /shared/eclipse/e4/build/e4/downloads/drops/4.0.0/workspace/builds/I201007251756 If I check in the plugins/org.eclipse.sdk directory, it looks like the about.mapping has the I20100725-1756 ID in it. If I look in src/I20100725-1756/eclipse-master-I20100725-1756.zip it has org.eclipse.sdk with the correct about.mappings in it. But if I unzip one of the Eclipse SDKs we built, it has 0=I20100722-2038 Is this because I run it with: org.eclipse.releng.eclipsebuilder/bootstrapHudsone4.sh \ ... \ -updateSite $updateDir Where updateDir is my common update site? I think this is because the sdk feature in the common repository has the same generated qualifier as the one in the build. This is because of pde build bug 208143. The sdk feature generated in the build includes the new sdk branding plugin, but since the sdk feature has the same version name, it's discarded when the mirroring task runs with the comparator. To overcome this problem, I would suggesting tagging the sdk, platform and rcp features with a new version for good measure.
+1, I got confused because of this today, we need accurate build IDs :-)
I'll take this and re-tag our 4.0 features for the next build.
the about dialog in I20100726-1335 is still wrong, even though the features have been updated. I blame the update site, I'm going to gut both of them before the next build. PW
(In reply to comment #4) > I blame the update site, I'm going to gut both of them before the next build. I gutted too much XML, so I've fixed it and restarted the build. PW
