Build Identifier: 20100617-1415 Since Helios it is not possible to install linux tools under MacOSx. This used to work with the previous version. I know Mac != Linux, but at least Valgrind worked without any problems. I haven't tested the other components, but since GCC works on the Mac, for most components I see no reason why they shouldn't work. The error given is: Cannot complete the install because some dependencies are not satisfiable org.eclipse.linuxtools.valgrind.feature.group [0.4.0.201006152250] cannot be installed in this environment because its filter is not applicable Related to this is: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=314179 At that bug it is discussed that linux tools are only for linux, gtk, x86/x86_64, but as mentioned, it works on a Mac too (and thus possibly Unix also). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Go to "Install new software" 2.Search for/navigate to Linux Tools and select Valgrind 3.Go to the next screen 4.See details for error.
I've renamed the bug for clarity.
Added macosx to the OS filter in trunk.
I'm still trying to install 0.6.1 on OSX (Helios) and get the following error: Cannot complete the install because some dependencies are not satisfiable org.eclipse.linuxtools.valgrind.feature.group [0.6.1.201008261754] cannot be installed in this environment because its filter is not applicable.

The current 0.6 branch is still not available to Mac OSX. The plan is for this to be officially available in the 0.7 release. You are welcome to install a nightly build (targeting Indigo) in the mean time: http://download.eclipse.org/technology/linuxtools/updates-nightly
