Description Boris Bokowski CLA 2010-07-25 11:40:48 EDT
1. Download a new build
2. Using p2, install the e4 tools (Tom's model editor)
3. Click Restart (you can also click Not Now, then quit, then start Eclipse again)
-> No prompt for workspace, you just get /Users/<username>/workspace
Comment 1 Boris Bokowski CLA 2010-07-25 12:59:04 EDT
The root cause of this is class org.eclipse.e4.tools.emf.editor3x.TargetElementProviders. It seems to be a service that is instantiated eagerly. It depends on org.eclipse.emf.ecore.resource.ResourceSet, which in turn activates EcorePlugin, which loads ResourcesPlugin, which gets the current instance location. If you get the current instance location but it hasn't been set yet, it will be set to be the default.
