1. Ctrl+3 > Close Perspective (Perspective Id: Debug) - Close the current perspective
2. Your 'Java' perspective gets closed. :(((

Fix released to HEAD. We were arbitrarily closing the whole thing down if there was only one perspective. We should've been checking whether the requested perspective actually exists within the window before we tried to close it.
