Description Gunnar Wagenknecht CLA 2010-07-22 08:05:33 EDT
It would be nice if the JFace fonts could be changed on Windows 7 to align better with the system fonts.

For example, the text editor font should be "Consolas" instead of "Courier New" if the font is available on the system. (AFAIK Consolas is included in Windows 7 now).

Sounds like this could be a duplicate of bug 293356.

At least it's related and could be solved together.

Fixed in HEAD >20100908.
We now specify variants of Segoe UI for the banner and header fonts.
We specify Consolas for the text font. Opened bug 324810 to ensure that the text block selection font is updated to specify Consolas on windows7.

May I suggest setting the size of the Consolas font to 11, which is more similar to Courier New 10?
