Description Phil Spencer CLA 2010-07-22 03:57:23 EDT
Installing EGIT on Helios appear not to work - the only evidence that is is installed is its listing in the installed plugins

No menu items, no properties, no recognition of Git in existing projects...

Worked fine on previous versions of Eclipse

-- Configuration Details --
Product: Eclipse 1.3.0.20100617-0521 (org.eclipse.epp.package.jee.product)
Installed Features:
 org.eclipse.jdt 3.6.0.v20100526-0800-7z8XFUJFMTfCWGoVuHImpms9H155

This should be reported to whomever produces EGIT. There is no way that the Eclipse developers can debug EGIT; it's not part of Eclipse.

If the problem with EGIT not working on Helios is eventually traced to a specific problem with Helios, then please report that problem against the right Eclipse product and component. You've reported it against JDT/APT, that is, the Java tooling, Annotation Processing component. I am pretty sure that whatever is up with EGIT, it does not have to do with Java annotation processing.
