Class org.eclipse.equinox.internal.p2.ui.ValidationDialogServiceUI is an OkCancelErrorDialog which extends ErrorDialog

Since this sometimes only displays warnings it should not be an error dialog.
Some adopting products hook into the ErrorDialog class, and generate additional support dialogs.

I have attached a screen shot of what is happening with one adopting product. We should not be triggering a support dialog, just because there are some unsigned bundles.

see also bug 309775. There is discussion in that bug about creating a custom dialog.
Comment 2 Eclipse Webmaster CLA 2019-09-06 16:11:20 EDT
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
Comment 3 Ed Merks CLA 2020-02-19 05:28:41 EST
The dialog has long been replaced.
